Shaurya Samarak is India's first war Memorial situated in the heart of Bhopal built in the memory of martyrs.. PM Narendra Modi unveiled the war memorial ‘Shaurya Smarak’ in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 14 October 2016.
Shaurya Smarak has been built on a 12.67 acres (approximately 51,250 sqm) campus.The built up area of the project is approximately 8,000 sqm.
The Memorial has been envisaged as a journey through the various experiences of Life, War, Death and the liberation of the Spirit (Victory over Death), all exhibited through an extremely non-archetypal design.
